On this route we will learn about the history of the first settlers of the island through the sites of Risco Caído, Barranco Hondo and El Hornillo.

They are all part of the space that was named an UNESCO World Heritage Site in 2019.

The name of this spectacular ravine means “calm spirit” and here, under the impressive walls and immersed in the absolute greenery, tranquility invades you.

It is also full of history, since it was one of the most populated ravines during pre-Hispanic times and we still find many inhabited cave houses.

In the center of the island we find the highest peaks and the famous rocks of El Nublo and Bentayga.

There are a multitude of paths of different levels that run through the Canarian pine forest and always with spectacular views over a large part of the island.

This is perhaps the wildest part of the island, with only small towns and imposing cliffs that drop into the sea.

We walk along narrow goat paths where you rarely meet anyone and always with the impressive Atlantic ocean in sight.

Apart from these examples there are many more interesting routes to do, if you are interested in a particular area of the island we can plan a route there, the options are endless on the “Miniature Continent”!
